Sean Lippin – Fish Tank

Sean Lippin – Fish Tank

“Fish Tank”, Sean Lippin’s latest offering, begins with a dream, a place many of us go to liberate ourselves when things are hard. “In my dreams, I’m streaming free / beneath the waves, splashing in the ocean, far away from everybody,” Lippin sings. The dream doesn’t last. Unfortunately, when he wakes up, he is stuck in a tank and there is no way to be freed. What a touching way to begin a song about resilience, liberation, and self-discovery.

Sean found inspiration for “Fish” Tank while driving around Denver, Colorado, watching hundreds of people walking outside in the city. “They all seemed like they were in their own little worlds,” Lippin contemplates, “Completely aloof from anybody else.” This observation, combined with the hopeless feeling of being relegated to a situation he feared he would be lost forever, created the vision for the song. This track offers listeners hope and support to find the strength to bust down their own four walls and make the leap into clearer waters.

Produced by Matt Graff at the Loop Studio, the song bears Lippin’s intrinsic style mixing different genres of rock to create a heartfelt song about the human condition. The throbbing and wailing guitar with the gentle synth is polished and refined, showcasing Lippin’s growth as an artist.

The song’s message of hope and support is both personal and universal, urging listeners to recognize their strength and potential for change.

With “Fish Tank,” Sean Lippin has created a true masterpiece. This is a song that will resonate with anyone who has ever felt trapped or stuck and will undoubtedly inspire listeners to take control of their lives and make a change. With its catchy hooks and uplifting message, “Fish Tank” is sure to become a staple of indie rock playlists everywhere.
