“Just For Today” by The Rumble Cats

Television is the latest album by The Rumble Cats, a Mexican rock band formed in August 2021. The album comprises nine unique tracks, all of which fall under the alt-rock indie genre. Every song is filled with energy and raw emotion, featuring a diverse selection of English and Spanish rock. The fifth track, Just For Today, is a powerful fast-paced song similar to early alternative classic bands such as The Cure. It has excellent riffs, reflective vocals, and an attention-catching rhythm.

The track begins with an electric guitar riff and deep bass notes. The lead sounds pleasing to the ear, with a clean mix of distortion suitable for the song’s classic rock vibe. Shortly after the intro, the drums kick in and the pace begins to push rapidly. Each instrument combines to create a grunge-like whole sound. During the verse, the vocals are clean and passionate. The drums play a dynamic beat to the song as the singing remains calm and serene. This drastically changes as the first hook drops, playing louder and screaming out the heart of the vocals. This heightens the feel, encouraging audiences to start standing and rocking out. The tune’s dynamic structure cleverly keeps listeners engaged, giving climactic moments during the hooks and bridges and rest during the verses. As the song concludes, the band repeats the hook one final time before fading into the ambient sound of an engine driving towards the distance. The song’s tasteful guitar licks, spacious bass, and fast-paced drums drive the track forward.
